SPORTSB A New Crowd Sourced Data Platform For Sports

Many a time talented players do not reach their goal as they go unnoticed. SportsB, a Nagpur based start-up has created a platform for players from grass root level to help them showcase their sports skills universally. The company affirms that all the data captured in the application is filtered, verified, and genuine. Users can create their profile, modify as per their choice and update from time to time through their mobile phones.

Founded by two brothers Mr. Lavlesh S. Raut & Mr. Mangesh S. Raut,  SportsB is a user-friendly application that can be accessed by people as per their convenience. Users can register with email address or phone number to create their profiles. They can keep updating their performance, upload pictures and videos to make the profile stand out. Not only players but also coaches and clubs/ academies can share their information and access player’s information at the same time.

Mr. Lavlesh & Mr. Mangesh are passionate sportsmen who have played handball and ball badminton at the national level. Their aim was to have skills of a player captured and showcased with national and international standards. “A player is incomplete if his talent is not reaching to people and kept unrecognized”, Mr. Lavlesh added.  In earlier days there was hardly any digital platform available on a global level where players, coaches, academies can showcase, share and update their information and reach out to each other. This is one of the significant purposes of creating SPORTSB.

The company has offices in both Nagpur and UAE. The brothers are currently bootstrapping and are in discussions with investors from Dubai for their first round of investments.

SportsB is trying to define players statistically so that those stats become a player’s identity. They believe that once a player is defined with stats, it becomes easier to search them for specialized role needed by a team, a club or a franchise. Currently, SPORTSB is focused only on cricket as a sport to analyse and share data and plans to cover more number of sports and related activities to match up market expectations and serve best for all players and users. The company aims to reach 100,000 users by first quarter of the upcoming year 2020.

Lavlesh and Magnesh also runs India’s first M S Dhoni Residencial Cricket academy in Nagpur, which is a joint venture of SGR Sports Academy and Aarka Sports management.
