1 Play Sports collaborates with Mediapro Asia to expand reach

1 Play Sports, a Singapore-based over-the-top platform, has partnered with Mediapro Asia, regional arm of the international sports media rights agency, to expand its business across Asia Pacific. Mediapro Asia will be drawing in new production concepts, content creation ideas and providing sponsorship sales support to 1 Play Sports across Asia.

 Within a year since its establishment, 1 Play Sports has broadcasted more than 1400 hours of sports content such as the World Pencak Silat Championships, Merlion Cup,  FINA Diving Grand Prix Singapore, as well as Singapore Schools and other National Sporting Associations’ competitions. 1 Play Sports has over 500,000 followers and operates in Singapore, Philippines, India and Africa. They plan to expand further in the Asian market this year.

1 Play Sports provides a podium to local amateur and junior sports to exhibit themselves through competitions by promoting a community or school tournament, professionally put together and broadcasted LIVE both within the 1 Play Sports platform and through social media. It’s a great opportunity for advertisers and brands to reach GLOCAL suitable audiences via social networking websites and a channel on SingTel Mio Sports.

1 Play Sports has established relationship with national sports federations. They were the streaming partners of the U-13 Intercontinental Cup in Dubai in 2020. Mediapro Asia, headquarters in Singapore, assists Mediapro Group as the official TV and media rights representatives of LaLiga. They also promote the Ladies European Golf Tour and the Asian Volleyball Championships. In 2019 Mediapro Asia advertised funding for the South East Asian Games in the Philippines.

During these unprecedented times of pandemic, 1 Play Sports have been producing and streaming to engage people to do exercises at home and stay fit. An e-football tournament is also being staged which will pit teams from Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia against each other.
