Tech Mahindra, a leading global systems integrator and ChampTrax, a sports startup have teamed up to set up stadium like-experience at home for sports enthusiasts all over the world. This is a great initiative as lockdown, has paused all sport tournaments and the latest initiative can offer a solution to increase the engagement of fans utilizing virtual technologies.
Using cutting edge technologies, both the companies will be working on pioneering holographic virtual fan to the stadium using 5G use cases. ChampTrax will also be getting a boost from Tech Mahindra to set foot in more extensive market and crowd for HearMeCheer solution which will be collecting “crowd noise” from at home viewers while games are being played in spectators free stadiums.
“We have been specifically focused on technologies that will enable experiences in the during COVID and after COVID world. Sports with a live fan experience is something that we will miss now for a while. Tech Mahindra’s sports vertical leveraging our 5G experience will enhance the fan experience globally. This strategic partnership with ChampTrax Technologies will give us an opportunity to bring the best of both the worlds and help sports fans adjust to the new normal.” Jagdish Mitra, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Growth, Tech Mahindra said.
Champtrax Technologies’ HearMeCheer solution consolidates sound through restrictive algorithms which enables users to yell and not overwhelm the sound stream. While the viewers are watching the game in the app, it automatically sends data that combine sounds to create a single audio stream of crowd integrated into broadcast.
Elias Andersen, Founder of Sports Tech Business, Champtrax Technologies, said “We are very excited to partner with Tech Mahindra and this gives us a huge opportunity to serve their existing and potential customer at such critical times. HearMeCheer is great solution for close door games and we are keen to take it to market with Tech Mahindra.”
This is a great solution for close door games even though fans won’t be present in the stadium. This will support in reviving the sports clubs post the COVID-19 pandemic. Going into the future, technology will play a key role in sports industry.
