Amul announced as the regional partners of the Portuguese national football team

Amul has penned a partnership with Portuguese national football team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Amul has signed the papers to be the official regional partners of Portugal with Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF).

This deal enables Amul to use the pictures of Portuguese players in their products. Amul will serve as the regional sponsor for India of the Portugal National team to the end of 2023 under the terms of a sponsorship agreement signed with FPF. Amul is now the first regional sponsor from India in the FPF’s history.

Last month, Amul signed a similar deal with the Argentine Football Association. With these deals, we will be able to see the pictures of Ronaldo, Messi and other Portuguese and Argentine footballers pictures soon on Amul products.

Jayen Mehta, Chief Operating Officer, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which owns the Amul brand, said, “Amul is proud to announce its association with FPF. Football is a global sport and has a huge fan following in India too. Sports and nutrition go hand-in-hand and through this association, we encourage football fans in India to take up physical fitness and nutrition for a healthy lifestyle.”

“We had signed a pact with Argentina earlier, and now we have Portugal. So, Amul has both the top football players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on our consumer packs,” Mehta said during an interview.

Portugal is India´s favorite team, immediately after the home team.”
